A man has been arrested for murder after a woman in her 30s was stabbed to death in south London.

The killing brings the total number of knife deaths in the capital this year to 58.

Officers were called to a residential address in Brixton, at around 6.36pm on Sunday.

The attack occurred on Sudbourne Grove, where houses sell up to £1,325,000.

The woman was found suffering from stab wounds, and despite the efforts of paramedics, was pronounced dead at the scene.
